It's the Final Countdown...

...If only I had a bitchin' guitar/synthesizer solo playing.

Graduation, after nine non-continuous and arduous years, is on May 4.

Due to my lack of foresight (and financial stability), I've got a year to kill before resuming my studies and commencing [/midi trumpet fanfare] my PhD studies. (That was awfully anti-climactic for a trumpet blast...)

So this is my filler year, my white space between the fifty-hour work weeks with a double class load and, well, fifty-hour work weeks with research, teaching, and class loads. I plan on continuing my research in the meantime, and possibly attempting more publication, between now and then, but I won't have the structured environment in which to discuss theory and research and methodology, and oh-gawd-i-need-a-life...

And so, I have this little outlet. Who knows who will read or if they'll even care, but I can at least pretend.

I'll read it; I've got nothing better to do! :)

I know we haven't talked in a while, but I still love you. And hypercongrats on graduating, FINALLY!

Love you
